How do I begin?
The Tenant Improvement Program (TIP) Process is the first step in beginning construction on airport property.
Tenant Application
*Effective March 04, 2019
All new TIP Applications and Plan Submittals are required to be submitted through the MGO submittal portal: mygovernmentonline.org.
Please Note: All TIP Applications and Plan Submittals prior to March 04, 2019 will continue with the previously assigned TIP Number.
To submit an application for the Tenant Improvement Program, please go to mygovernmentonline.org
You will need to create a mygovernmentonline account, for instructions on how to do this please click here.
Complete the application and email it to the TIP Coordinator.
You may also need a Work Area Notification (WAN) form. If you are unsure if you need this form, please click here.

Do I need a permit?

Please Note: For all projects previously permitted or plan submittals prior to March 04, 2019 through the BSG/ProjectDox website, inlcudes any plans, revisions or addendums will continue through ProjectDox and Inspection request will continue through the BSG inspection email portal: bsg-inspections@houstontx.gov.
It is always best to provide a plan and/or scope of work of your project in advance to BSG if there are questions about the need for a permit. For more information see our FAQ
Note: You MUST have a TIP number on your permit application.
If your work DOES NOT involve new construction or a licensed trade such as electrical, fire, etc. you will still need a work area notification (WAN) form.
